If you want to expose yourself to the global medical culture and want to avoid appearing for the NEET-UG exam n number of times, then pursuing MBBS in countries other than India makes a lot of sense. The number of seats available in government and private colleges across India is in no way sufficient to absorb the number of students who appear for the NEET-UG exam. And if you’re not up for reappearing for NEET-UG, then thinking of options outside India comes with its own set of benefits. The best part about pursuing MBBS overseas is that it not just allows you to practice medicine in the country that you study in, but also in India. General Eligibility Criteria:

• Your age should be above 17 years as of the 31th December of the year you are seeking admission for.
• You should have completed Class 12th with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
• Minimum aggregate percentage of Physics, Chemistry and Biology must be at least 50 percent.
• From 2018 onwards, you should have cleared NEET (50th percentile). Eligibility certificate from MCI is must for admission.

General pathway to practice in India:

1. After completion of degree outside India, clear the FMGE exam (soon to be NEXT).
2. Apply for 1-year clinical internship with any of the state medical councils.
3. Post the completion of internship, apply to the respective state medical council to get a license to practice.
